Your responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed territory sales goal at pricing and profit levels approved by management.
  • A minimum of 5 to 8 days of business travel and customer visits per month in the regional assigned territory. 
  • Promptly follow-up on leads and inquiries from any new accounts and all existing assigned accounts.
  • Develop new growth opportunities and OEM accounts for FAULHABER product and engineered custom motion solutions.
  • Develop strategies which maintain and improve existing business and customer relationships with the goal of becoming customer’s motion system design “partner”.
  • Provide customers with competent application engineering assistance and technical support for all FAULHABER product and engineered custom motion solutions.
  • Develop an in depth working knowledge of FAULHABER product as well as those of the competition. Develop new applications for FAULHABER product by understanding their fit and function in relation to the customer’s needs.
  • Document, communicate, coordinate and manage scope, milestones, schedules, deliverables and meetings minutes for all opportunities and projects within the territory at each phase of customer’s product development process. Includes all project information and requirements communicated between customer engineering team, FAULHABER MICROMO LLC and other FAULHABER Group companies. Participate in project management meetings with engineering team for all projects in assigned territory.
  • Maintain accurate CRM system records for leads, accounts, quotations, opportunities, customer requirements and other records as required.
  • Provide guidance and support to Inside Application Engineers and Customer Service Representatives to help them manage small OEM and Non-OEM accounts for which they have primary responsibility.
  • Prepare, submit and update in a timely manner all expense reports, sales call / trip reports, existing business forecast, new business forecast and other reports as required.
  • Prepare, review and negotiate special pricing, customer requirements and customer agreements with support from management and other departments as required.

 

Your qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years OEM account management experience is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of electrical or mechanical engineering experience is required. Sales engineering or application engineering experience with OEM customers is acceptable and preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or 10 years equivalent engineering experience in the application and/or design of motion components is required. Equivalent experience may include sales engineering or application engineering experience. Application experience in medical market is desirable.
  • Ability to travel to any assigned territory in North America is required.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications plus a thorough understanding of the definition and application of various electrical, mechanical, dimensional and environmental specifications is required.
  • Ability to work and self-manage with minimal additional supervision.
  • Sales or engineering experience with servo motors, steppers motors, gearheads, linear actuators, drives and control products is desirable.
  • Excellent execution, time management, verbal and written communication and computer skills.
  • Must be permanently authorized to work in the United States.
